Good news, memoir fans: Variety reports that Dani Shapiro’s bestselling memoir Inheritance will be adapted into a feature by Killer Films, with Cami Delavigne (the co-writer of Blue Valentine) on board to write the script.

The memoir centers on Shapiro’s discovery, after a DNA test, that the man she knew—and wrote about—as her father was not biologically related to her. “All my life I had known there was a secret,” Shapiro writes. “What I hadn’t known: the secret was me.”
