Hugh Ryan
Hugh Ryan is a writer and curator. His first book, When Brooklyn Was Queer (2019), won a New York City Book Award, was named a New York Times Editors' Choice, and is a finalist for the Publishing Triangle's Randy Shilts Award. Honored with the 2020 Allan Berube Prize from the American Historical Association, he is a graduate of the Bennington Writing Seminars and lives in Brooklyn. @Hugh_Ryan
