Last night, Kendall Jenner posted an Instagram story of her TBR pile, and while “literate celebrity” has emerged as a robust subgenre of celebrity in the past few years, we were still impressed by her choices. We’ve come to expect famous people reading the latest Hello Sunshine pick (no shade—I would read the Apple Terms of Use if Curtis Sittenfeld wrote them). But Jenner’s picks were surprisingly eclectic, and included a number of titles from small presses. Among her choices were The Complete Stories of Leonora Carrington, Amparo Dávila’s The Houseguest, Melissa Broder’s So Sad Today, and Chelsea Hodson’s Tonight I’m Someone Else.

Here’s the whole video, via Hodson on Twitter:

Guess this means we need another way to feel superior to very rich celebrities!
