With Brandon Taylor, Gabrielle Bellot, and Veronica Scott Esposito
Stephen Hawking, one of the most important thinkers of the 20th century, died yesterday at the age of 76. So much more than a groundbreaking astrophysicist, Hawking presented the vast and complex profundities of the wide universe in such a way as to capture the imaginations of millions. Among those millions, three of our favorite writers, who reflect below on Hawking’s life and legacy.
Brandon Taylor: “How many lives has he changed by the mere fact of his being?”
Gabrielle Bellot: “Hawking was directly transcribing from the cosmos.”
Veronica Scott Esposito: “Hawking taught me just what wonder really is.”
