In Which Franny Choi Remixes Lil’ Wayne

At this year’s AWP in Minneapolis, poet Franny Choi read alongside Amber Tamblyn, Roxane Gay, Patricia Smith, Cristin O’Keefe Aptowicz, and xTx, at the Loft Literary Center, hosted by Bust Magazine. She finished her set with a poem called “Pussy Monster,” in which she remixes all the words used in a single Lil’ Wayne song. The result was memorable, to say the least. (Caution: the word “pussy” is a said over and over and over again.)
