Melissa Homestead

A graduate of Smith College and the University of Pennsylvania, Melissa J. Homestead is the author of American Women Authors and Literary Property, 1822-1869 (Cambridge University Press 2005) and The Only Wonderful Things: The Creative Partnership of Willa Cather and Edith Lewis (Oxford University Press 2021), which was an honoree for the Bernard J. Brommel Award for Biography and Memoir from the Society of Midland Authors. At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she is Professor of English, Program Faculty of Women’s and Gender Studies, Director of the Cather Project, and co-editor of The Complete Letters of Willa Cather, a digital edition nearing completion.
