Eliane Brum
Eliane Brum is a Brazilian journalist, writer, and documentary filmmaker. She has written five books of nonfiction and a novel, translated into English as One Two. Uma história Severina (Severina’s Story), Brum’s first documentary film, won 17 prizes. She has been awarded more than 40 national and international journalism prizes. Brum reports on issues related to the Amazon forest and underprivileged communities in São Paulo, and writes columns for El País and The Guardian. Her newest book The Collector of Leftover Souls is now out from Graywolf Press.
