Douglas A. Martin is the author of eight books across genres, including volumes of poetry and fiction. Situated primarily in the form of the novel, his writing combines autobiographical investigation and lyrical research. His most recent books are Once You Go Back, Your Body Figured, In the Time of Assignments, Branwell, and They Change the Subject. He teaches at Wesleyan University and lives in Brooklyn. He holds a PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center, where he was awarded the Irving Howe Prize for Best Dissertation Involving Politics and Literature.
