Literary Hub is pleased to announce that the Guggenheim Museum, in collaboration with the Academy of American Poets, has established a year-long poet-in-residence program, beginning in January 2022.

The hybrid position focuses on public engagement; the poet-in-residence “will collaborate with the Guggenheim’s public programs department to design activations and experiences for the museum’s adult, teen, and youth audiences to engage with poetry as an artistic form.” They will also “play a core role in the Guggenheim’s public programming throughout the year and will plan and participate in events that may include onsite readings, workshops, and activations in the museum.” The position comes with a $20,000 honorarium.

Applications will be accepted online from November 2, 2021 through December 5, 2021. You can find eligibility requirements and application instructions here.
