    Great wonder grew in hall
At his hue most strange to see,
For man and gear and all
Were green as green could be.

Saddle up, all you Arthurian aficionados, because the coolest-looking literary adaptation of 2021 is nearly upon us. Yes, David Lowrey’s The Green Knight—an adaptation of the 14th-century Middle English chivalric romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, in which Sir Gawain, King Arthur’s headstrong nephew, accepts a perilous challenge from a fearsome, emerald-hued stranger—will be hitting theaters on July 30.

To whet our appetites, A24 just released the first full trailer and it looks gorgeous.

    Hot summer knights, indeed.
