So you’re telling me I could be quaranting on Shel Silverstein’s houseboat?

If you’re looking to add a little mobility and a lot of whimsy to your home life (or as we call it, life), and you have $783,000, you’re in luck! Shel Silverstein’s houseboat, currently floating in Richardson Bay in Sausalito, California, is for sale.

“Bring your Creative, artistic, writers, designers, retired doctors, lawyers, single women, small families, couples, everyone to have FUN making this their home!” the listing exclaims. (Finally, a houseboat for the single women!)

The boat’s interior is precisely what you’d hope for from the beloved children’s poet, complete with stained glass windows, dark wood paneling, and a hanging bed (which likely belongs to the current owners, but which seems very much in the spirit of the place).

Related, do we think this is the boat for which the Giving Tree gave its trunk?
