Join the Kidlit Rally for Black Lives on Facebook Live and Zoom tonight.
Authors Kwame Alexander, Jacqueline Woodson and Jason Reynolds are leading the online Kidlit Community Rally for Black Lives, which will be streamed by The Brown Bookshelf tonight on Facebook Live and Zoom.
Students ages kindergarten through 12th grade are welcome to join from 7 – 7:45 pm ET, and the event will continue from 7:45 to 8:00 pm ET for parents and educators. The event will feature 25 authors, including Gene Luen Yang, Jerry Craft, Christopher Myers, and others.
“The young people—as always—want answers and clarity,” Woodson said in a statement. “As writers of literature for and about young people, we’ve always spoken a language they understand.”
You can join at this Zoom link or find the event later tonight on The Brown Bookshelf’s Facebook page.
