Here’s your very first glimpse of the new Pride and Prejudice adaptation.
Today, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming six-part adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, written by bestselling author and screenwriter Dolly Alderton (Good Material) and directed by Euros Lyn (Heartstopper).
Emma Corrin appears as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, and that’s about all we get, other than some Indicated Yearning.
The cast also includes Olivia Colman as Mrs. Bennet, Rufus Sewell as Mrs. Bennet, Freya Mavor as Jane, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, and Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley. However the question of whether we need another Pride and Prejudice adaptation remains unanswered (or does it?). The limited series, which is being described as very faithful to the text, bucking certain recent trends, is slated to come out in fall 2026. But until then:
