    Four Torrey Peters novellas will be published by Random House in 2022.

    Exciting book news: Detransition, Baby author Torrey Peters’s novellas Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones and The Masker, previously published online in 2016 and available for free on her author website, will be reissued by Random House in 2022. Two unpublished Peters novellas (!) will also be published by Random House. These four novellas will be published as a quartet under the Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones title, each one exploring trans identities through a different literary genre: dystopian, romance, horror, and historical. (This is the original project from which Detransition, Baby sprang.)

    On Twitter, Peters shared the news, as well as a bonus piece of information: Infect Your Friends and Loved Ones has been optioned for TV and film, “with a director I think you’ll approve of.” We’ll be speculating on said director’s identity until the name is dropped—or at least until we have the DTB television show to distract us.
