In just nine months, Literary Hub has become one of the go-to literary websites. With readership growing 25 percent month over month, we are very happy to have reached over a million readers in December alone, and look forward to becoming an essential online destination for book lovers in 2016. With that in mind, we are pleased to announce some new faces at Literary Hub who will be contributing regular writing and helping us to broaden our editorial scope. In addition to expanding the depth and breadth of our literary content, 2016 will see Literary Hub covering a wider range of titles, both fiction and non-, to better reflect the diverse reading habits of our book-loving audience.

David L. Ulin will be writing regularly at Lit Hub, with a focus on non-fiction, the West Coast and much more. David is the former book critic and book editor of the Los Angeles Times, a 2015 Guggenheim Fellow, and the author, most recently, of Sidewalking: Coming to Terms with Los Angeles, which has been longlisted for the PEN/Diamonstein-Spielvogel Award for the Art of the Essay. His novel Ear to the Ground, written with Paul Kolsby, will be published in April.

Lisa Levy will be writing regularly for Lit Hub with a focus on crime, mystery, and noir, and will be helping us extend our coverage in that direction. Lisa has been a freelance writer for over a decade, with writing in The Believer, Pacific Standard, Newsday, Slate, Vogue, and many other publications. The former noir and mystery editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books, she also founded The Life Sentence, a popular website devoted to crime, mystery, and thrillers.

Catherine Talese will be curating weekly features drawn from the best in contemporary photography books, offering a look at a wide range of work from across the art photo world. Catherine is a photographer and freelance photo director, and is the former photo editor at GQ, Absolute Magazine, and Men’s Health Living.

Rick Moody, the much-lauded best-selling author of such novels as Garden State, The Ice Storm, and, most recently, Hotels of North America, will be offering his newly discovered talents as Life Coach to Lit Hub readers, in a new, fortnightly advice column.

Yahdon Israel will be contributing regular features, and will be reporting as a special Lit Hub correspondent (more on that later). Yahdon is a writer and essayist, and the man behind #Literary Swag.

Caitlin Goodman will be revising her legendary Grumpy Librarian column from the Philadelphia City Paper, wherein she offered reading recommendations based on reader-submitted likes and dislikes. Caitlin is the Curator of the Rare Book Department at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Lucy Kogler will be writing a regular column for Lit Hub on the day-to-day trials and triumphs of life as a bookseller. Lucy is the manager of Talking Leaves… Books, in Buffalo, NY.
