Watched by all. Seen by none.

As I wrote last month when the first teaser trailer dropped, hopes are high for Andrew Domink’s NC-17 adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ gargantuan work of historical bio-fiction.

Now, with the release of an action-packed full-length trailer (in which we get our first glimpses of Bobby Cannavale’s Joe DiMaggio and Adrian Brody’s Arthur Miller, as well as plenty more shots of de Armas’ uncanny transformation into Monroe) and the news that the film will premiere at the Venice Film Festival ahead of its September 23 Netflix release, anticipation (at least in this office) has reached fever pitch.

Assuming Lit Hub management is cool with bankrolling the trip, my next Blonde dispatch will be filed, post-premiere, from an opulent Venetian hotel room.

    More soon.
