Gary McDowell is the author of three poetry books and a collection of lyric essays, Caesura: Essays, which is forthcoming this year from Otis Books/Seismicity Editions. He’s also the coeditor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Prose Poetry. His work has appeared in American Poetry Review, The Nation, and Gulf Coast. He lives with his family in Nashville, Tennessee, where he is an assistant professor of English at Belmont University.
