Donna Baier Stein is the author of Scenes from the Heartland, a collection of short stories inspired by the lithographs of Thomas Hart Benton. Her novel, The Silver Baron’s Wife (2016), was the recipient of the PEN/New England Discovery Award, Bronze Winner in Foreword Reviews 2017 Book of the Year, and Finalist in Paterson Prize for Fiction. She is also the author of Sympathetic People, Sometimes You Sense the Difference, and Letting Rain Have Its Say, and is founder and publisher of Tiferet Journal.
