Alice Hattrick
Alice Hattrick is the author of Ill Feelings, first published by Fitzcarraldo Editions in 2021. The book tells the story of their and their mother's experience with ME/CFS and fibromyalgia, as it intersects with the medical history of gendered illness and the private literature of “unexplained” symptoms. Alice’s essays and criticism has been published in TANK, Frieze, Art Review and Rhizome, and included in publications such as Whitechapel Documents of Contemporary Art: HEALTH (ed. Bárbara Rodríguez Muñoz, 2020) and Mine Searching Yours (Forma, 2020). They are the co-producer of Access Docs for Artists, a resource for disabled and/or chronically ill artists, curators and writers, made in collaboration with artists Leah Clements and the late Lizzy Rose.
