Alejandro Zambra and Preti Taneja
Alejandro Zambra is an award-winning Chilean writer, poet, and critic. His latest book Not To Read, translated by Megan McDowell and published by Fitzcarraldo Editions, is a collection of essays about the pleasures of reading. His writing is regularly featured in The New Yorker, Harper’s, The Paris Review, Tin House and McSweeney’s. In 2010 he was selected as one of the Best of Young Spanish-Language Novelists by Granta. He currently lives in Mexico City.
Preti Taneja teaches writing in prisons and universities and has a background in human rights reporting in conflict and post conflict zones. She is the author of We That Are Young. The book was listed for Europe's leading award for a work of world literature, the Prix Jan Michalski.
