This Thursday, a hybrid event hosted by the Transnational Literature Series at Brookline Booksmith, Goethe-Institut Boston, the German Consulate in Boston, and AGNI will feature writers from Ukraine.

The seven Ukrainian writers, including five Zooming in from within Ukraine, are Victoria Amelina, Oksana Lutsyshyna, Kateryna Mikhalitsyna, Yulia Musakovska, and Marjana Savka. They’ll speak with Robert Pinsky, James Wood, Caine Prize winner E. C. Osondu, and Scholars at Risk director (and novelist) Jane Unruh.

“Very few of these events have featured Ukrainian writers in Ukraine, and we want to get them a strong audience as their perch in Lviv comes under increasing pressure,” Bill Pierce, coeditor of AGNI, told Lit Hub.

The event requires free registration, which you can do here: https://www.goethe.de/ins/us/en/sta/bos/ver.cfm?event_id=22809721
