Sometimes you just have to read between the lines—the felines, that is! There’s something about books and cats that just go together. You’ve probably met your fair share of bookshop cats, but have you ever stumbled into a store looking for A Tale of Two Cities and left with two kitties?

Otis and Clementine’s Books And Coffee—a charming independent bookshop in Nova Scotia—fosters cats, helps them socialize with humans, and eventually places them in forever homes. (The same could be said of the books.)

The shop owner, Ellen Helmke, started the program last year and has already helped 30 cats find their happily ever afters.
