Speaking to the times, poets Dwayne Morgan, Tongo Eisen-Martin, Wanda Sabir and Rabih Ahmed read on blackness in America during Shuffle Collective‘s 2020 Weekend of Words Literary Festival.
Dwayne Morgan: Dwayne is a spoken word artist and organizer from Toronto, and a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion.
Tongo Eisen-Martin: Tongo is poet and 2018 American Book Award Winner. He is also an educator and has organized against mass incarceration and extra-judicial killing of Black people throughout the United States.
Wanda Sabir: Wanda is a poet, journalist, author and an English professor based in Oakland California.
Rabih Ahmed: Rabih is a Ghanaian-American poet and educator from the Bronx, who utilizes the rhythms and histories of the African diaspora in her poetry to bridge the lost narratives across the Atlantic.
