You may have noticed Literary Hub does not sell books. We figure you know how to get a book when you want it, how you want it. And that’s great, truly. But we believe deeply in the value of bricks-and-mortar bookstores as repositories of literary culture, that booksellers are an invaluable literary resource, on the frontlines of the reader-writer relationship. If we do not spend money at our bookstores, we risk losing them, and with them the pleasure of discovery, the random encounter with great work that challenges us, can change our lives. At its heart, Literary Hub is for people who can’t pass by a bookstore window without stopping. So please, the next time you do, go in and buy a book.
