Here’s a moment of good news for your midweek slump: Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney is back.

Several years after making her debut with The Nesta novel that earned a seven-figure advance from Ecco and inspired a movie project, currently under development by The Big Sick co-writer Emily V. Gordon—she has a new book coming out next year.

The novel focuses on a couple whose marriage gets rocky when the wife discovers a wedding ring that her husband had told her he lost. Ecco announced that the novel, Good Company, will be published in May, by which time we’ll likely be facing other unknown global catastrophes and could use some good reading material to sustain us. I, for one, am looking forward to checking it out.
