TAULT, an agency for Ukrainian literature in translation, has issued a call in search of translators who work in Ukrainian and Russian “to assist us with an increased demand for Ukrainian literature.”

The agency represents literary writing from Ukrainian authors in translation, with an emphasis on emerging writers and new voices. It was founded by director Zenia Tompkins in 2018.

According to TAULT’s website, people who match any of the following descriptions should get in touch:

Native-English-speaking translators with command of either Ukrainian or Russian (where necessary, you will be teamed with a native Ukrainian- or Russian-speaker)

Native-Ukrainian-speaking translators with a solid command of English (where necessary, you will be teamed with a native English-speaker)

Native English speakers with experience editing and copy-editing literary texts, both fiction and non-fiction

Individuals, both Ukrainian- and English-speakers, with experience in design and marketing

Ukrainian literary and publishing professionals to assist with preparing marketing materials (no English necessary)
Community leaders interested in assisting with fundraising for books already scheduled for publication
