On the Red Carpet at the National Book Awards

Last Wednesday’s National Book Awards did honor to some of the finest writers in the country, achieving just the right mix of pomp and glamor, thoughtfulness and grace (thanks in no small part to the amazing work of new NBA executive director Lisa Lucas).

In an effort to further Oscarize America’s fanciest literary awards, we set up on the red carpet with our Lit Hub tv crew (Luke Poling and Matthew Slutsky, to be specific) and asked finalists questions both serious and a little silly. Here are some of their answers.
