Today the Associated Press reported that Hunter Biden, son of famous memoirist Joe Biden, will publish a memoir of his own on April 6. The memoir will be published with Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster.

Beautiful Things, acquired by Gallery Books in fall 2019, focuses on Biden’s much-publicized struggles with substance abuse. His family, which he describes in the book as “forged by tragedies and bound by a remarkable, unbreakable love,” also plays a large role. The memoir has received advance praise from literary heavyweights Stephen King, Anne Lamott, and Dave Eggers, who called the book “candid and brave . . . unflinching and propulsive.”

Said King in a blurb, “In his harrowing and compulsively readable memoir, Hunter Biden proves again that anybody—even the son of a United State President—can take a ride on the pink horse down nightmare alley.” Ok!
