Your Tuesday book news of note: Olive Kitteridge and My Name is Lucy Barton author Elizabeth Strout has a new novel set for publication. Here’s the description of Oh William!, out from Random House on October 19:

Oh William! . . . traces the complex, tender, and enduring bond between a once-married couple, as they navigate the deep pleasures (and distress) of watching their children grow up, reckon with their own imperfect pasts, and unearth the kind of long-buried family secret that rearranges everything we think we know about those closest to us.

A sustained investigation of a relationship, complex characters, hidden truths: sounds right in Strout’s wheelhouse. Alas, we’ll have to wait a few months for that family secret to be unearthed—happily, we’ve got seven other Strout books to help us wait.
