Todd Portnowitz is the translator of In Search of Amrit Kaur (FSG, 2023) by Livia Manera Sambuy, The Greatest Invention (FSG, 2022) by Silvia Ferrara, and Long Live Latin (FSG, 2019) by Nicola Gardini. His poetry translations include Midnight in Spoleto by Paolo Valesio, Go Tell It to the Emperor: The Selected Poems of Pierluigi Cappello, for which he was awarded a Raiziss/de Palchi Fellowship from the Academy of American Poets, and Methods by Lorenzo Carlucci, forthcoming in 2024. An associate editor at Alfred A. Knopf and co-founder of the writer-translator reading series Us&Them, he lives in Brooklyn, New York.
