Douglas W. Smith, Lauren E. Walker, Katharine E. Duffy and David Haines

Douglas W. Smith served for nearly three decades as a wildlife biologist at Yellowstone National Park, spearheading an initiative to reintroduce wolves to Yellowstone and leading the park’s bird and elk programs. Lauren E. Walker is a biologist at the US Geological Survey’s Bird Banding Laboratory and was formerly a wildlife biologist for several years with the Yellowstone bird program. Katharine E. Duffy was a supervisory education ranger in Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. She has been a licensed bird bander since 1981, specializing in raptors, including peregrine falcons. David Haines came to Yellowstone in 2012 as part of a survey to assess raptor populations that had not been previously studied. He is currently the lead biologist for the bird program in Yellowstone National Park.
