Shilpi Somaya Gowda

Shilpi Somaya Gowda was born and raised in Toronto. Her first novel, Secret Daughter, became an international bestseller, selling more than a million copies worldwide. It has been translated into over twenty languages. She is also the author of The Shape of Family, The Golden Son, and A Great Country. Gowda holds an MBA from Stanford and a bachelor's in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead-Cain Scholar. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and children.
