Pearl Abraham is the author of, most recently, American Taliban (Random House) and The Seventh Beggar (Riverhead Books). Her essays and stories have appeared in various literary publications. “For the Sins…” published in Michigan Quarterly, was a notable in Best American Essays, 2015. "Hasidic Noir" won a 2005 Shamus Award for best short story about a private eye. Abraham is an Associate Professor in English and directs the low-residence MFA program in Fiction at Western New England University. She also edits the webpage SforSentence.com.
