Mary Morris

Mary Morris is the author of numerous novels, three collections of short stories, and five travel memoirs, including recently, All the Way to the Tigers – one of NPR’s best books of 2020 and Nothing to Declare: Memoirs of a Woman Traveling Alone, a classic in its genre. Her novel, The Jazz Palace was awarded the 2016 Anisfield-Wolf Award for Fiction. Her numerous stories and essays have appeared in such places as The Atlantic, The Paris Review, and The New York Times. The recipient of the Rome Prize in Literature, Morris lives in Brooklyn, New York with her family.
