Martin Dyar

Martin Dyar is an Irish poet. His first book of poems Maiden Names (Arlen House) was a books of the year selection in the Irish Times and the Guardian, and was shortlisted for the Pigott Poetry Prize. He is the editor of the anthology Vital Signs: Poems of Illness and Healing (Poetry Ireland). He has held writing fellowships at the University of Iowa, the University of Limerick and at the Washington Ireland Program. He teaches in the School of Medicine at Trinity College Dublin. His next book of poems, The Meek, is forthcoming from Wake Forest University Press.
