Kathleen Phelan

Kathleen Newton Phelan (1918-2014) was born in England and took tramping at a young age. Little is known of her younger years aside from her propensity to take to the road searching for a good story (both to listen and tell). She continued traveling and writing with more intent after her husband, Irish writer Jim Phelan's death in 1966 until her death at age 97.
