Hayley Singer

Hayley Singer earned her PhD in creative writing from the University of Melbourne where she teaches contemporary fictions and feminist writing practices. She writes and publishes essays on carnist narratives and connections between vanguard writing practices and animal activism. Hayley has been the recipient of the inaugural Grace Marion Wilson emerging writers award and the Felix Meyer Travelling scholarship. Her fiction, non-fiction, poetry, scholarly writing and book reviews have been published Australian journals and anthologies such as Meanjin, Page Seventeen, Writing from Below, and Press 100: Love Letters and Animal Studies Journal.
