Gregory Ariail is a Prison Arts and Education Project Fellow at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. His writing has appeared in Los Angeles Review of Books, The Journal, The Common, Indiana Review, CutBank, and others. He recently completed his Ph.D. dissertation on the Anglo-American imitators of Franz Kafka's fables and has scholarly work forthcoming on the subject.
