David Barnes

David Barnes teaches English literature at Oxford University, and has published in Literary Hub, The Times, Guardian and Dublin Review of Books. He teaches, writes and researches about literature, history and politics in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He has written and presented documentary programmes for BBC radio, including ‘Escape of the Zebra’ (as writer/presenter: BBC Radio 3, 2019). His latest book, White Modernities: Transatlantic Writing and New Imperialism is forthcoming with Oxford University Press.
