Catherine Banner was born in Cambridge, UK and began writing at the age of 14. She has published a trilogy of young adult novels, the first was published when she was 15. Catherine went on to study English at Fitzwilliams College, Cambridge, and she has taught at schools in the UK. THE HOUSE AT THE EDGE OF NIGHT is her debut adult novel.
